Our role

Cush Safari Expeditions ("we", "us") is a Tanzania-registered travel company that designs and operates private safari itineraries. When you travel with us, the specific lodges, camps, routes, prices, and cancellation terms for your journey are set out in your booking confirmation and itinerary, which together form your agreement with us.

Enquiries and quotations

Using the Safari Journey Designer or contacting us does not create a booking. A quotation is valid for the period stated in the proposal. Prices are indicative until a booking is confirmed in writing.

Booking and deposit

A booking is confirmed once we have received your deposit (or full payment where required) and sent written confirmation. The deposit amount and balance due date are stated in your itinerary. Some camps and permits require full prepayment, and we will tell you when that applies.

Payments

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the balance is due before the start of your trip, on the date shown in your confirmation. We accept payment by the methods we provide at the time. Bank and transfer fees are borne by you.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation terms vary by itinerary because lodges and permits have their own policies. The exact cancellation schedule for your trip is stated in your confirmation. Where a supplier refund is due to us, we pass it on minus any non-refundable costs we have already paid on your behalf. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation.

Travel insurance and health

You are responsible for holding adequate travel insurance (including medical evacuation), valid passports, visas, and vaccinations. We will advise on requirements but cannot be responsible for documents you must obtain.

Our responsibilities

We take care to design safe, well-operated journeys using vetted partners. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent suppliers (airlines, lodges, guides engaged locally) beyond our direct control, nor for circumstances arising from your own actions or force majeure.

Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including severe weather, natural events, government action, civil unrest, or pandemics. In such cases we will work with you to find a fair resolution, which may include rebooking or credit where suppliers allow.

Privacy

Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts.
