Cush Safari Expeditions is a Tanzania-based travel company. We design and operate private safari journeys in Tanzania and Zanzibar. If you have any question about this policy or your data, you can reach our data protection contact at info@cushsafariexpeditions.com.

What we collect

• Enquiry information. When you use the Safari Journey Designer (the planner) we ask for your name, email address, optional WhatsApp number, country, and any message you choose to share. This is the information needed to reply to you personally.
• Booking and trip information. If you travel with us, we collect the details required to operate your trip — passenger names, dietary and access needs, travel dates, and emergency contacts.
• Technical and cookie data. We use strictly necessary cookies to keep the site secure and to remember your language and consent choices. With your permission we also use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which journeys help travellers plan. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them.

Why we use your data (legal basis)

• Consent — for analytics cookies and for contacting you after an enquiry you submitted.
• Legitimate interest — to respond to enquiries, prevent abuse, and improve the site, balanced against your rights.
• Contract — to plan and deliver a trip you book with us.

Cookies and your consent

We do not set analytics cookies until you choose "Accept all" in the consent banner. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Strictly necessary cookies remain on so the site stays secure and remembers your language.

Your rights

Data retention

Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months so we can help if you return to plan a trip. Booking and trip records are kept for the period required by Tanzanian law and for insurance and accounting purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

International transfers

Your data is processed in Tanzania and by the service providers we use for email and hosting. Where data is transferred outside your home country, we rely on appropriate safeguards and our processors' commitments to data protection.
